Factors of Single Use Plastic Reduction Behavioral Intention

Malaysia had ranked as eighth over the top 20 countries with mismanaged plastic waste. The largest source of this issue was high consumption single-use by individuals. It is believed that, residents’ social behaviour played a significant role in reducing plastic, which contributed to decreased pollution. Therefore, study investigates factors that affect behavioural intention using Theory Planned Behaviour (TPB). A Quantitative survey questionnaire employed and total samples were 341 residents Batu Pahat Johor. All data analysed regression analysis through Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS) software. results show positive relationship between all variables except environmental awareness law regulation. At same time, most influential factor affecting attitude against lower consumption. Future studies recommended be conducted urban areas could obtain more desired outcomes.
